Crown Royal believes it’s not what you have, it’s what you give. So, when it came to honoring America’s service men and women, we wanted to do more than simply raise a glass. We wanted to give them something meaningful for giving their all to protect our country. So we created The Purple Bag Project, packing and sending care packages to the most generous amongst us, our soldiers. For close to a decade, Crown Royal has worked with Packages From Home as a national charity partner supporting their purpose of sending thanks to troops overseas.

The first Purple Bag was packed in September, 2010. Since then, our ongoing commitment is evident with nearly half a million bags packed. We have a goal of packing 1 MILLION bags for the troops by 2020.

Your donation is an integral part to our mission. Without the reused Crown Royal bags you donate, we wouldn’t have as many bags to pack! The Purple Bag Project is in partnership with Packages from Home, and the donations will help the organization in their vision to let every past and present service member know they are cared for, respected, and not forgotten.

By visiting a local participating retailer, you will be able to drop off any used Crown Royal bags, and each bag will be valued as a $1 donation towards the project. Please contact your local liquor stores to find out if there is a drop off location near you.

Currently, consumers can donate their bags at participating retailers. Please speak with your local retailer to find out if they will be collecting bags.

Please ask your local Crown Royal retailer if they participate in the Purple Bag Project and how you can donate your bags with them.

We accept any Crown Royal bag you wish to donate, regardless or color or size!

If you are a retailer who is interested in participating in the Purple Bag Project, we recommend you contact your distributor for a drop-off box. Your customers will be able to drop off their Crown Royal bags, and each bag will be valued as a $1 donation towards the project.

Licensed retailers can receive a prepaid shipping label by emailing a request to crownroyal@consumer-care.net.
